The Start of a Community
Our Community started in 2018 as a Facebook group that our founders, Harold D. Langley created and then formed with Maria Morris. The two kin from the small town of Maryville Missouri formed with the overall goal to grow the pagan community. Harold Langley is a longtime pagan of 19 years. Furthermore he is a long time follower of the Norse pathogen and and Omnist. He describes himself as a Druid. Maria has recognized herself as a pagan since 2016 and is a follower of Norse Mythology, Wiccan, Law of One beliefs as well as Buddhist philosophy and way of life. She takes on the religious label of Omnist. The two met through mutual friends where they would then share in celebration of the pagan ways and lifestyles by learning from each other and connecting through ritual and spiritual connection in nature with friends.
A couple years later they put their heads together in growing the pagan community. This came with blunders and failed attempts at Facebook groups until Midwest Pagan Community was created. The next 4 years would show an increase in members in the 100's range. Still, we wanted to build the community even more and gather more people and to show people that the pagan people are here. We continued to brainstorm on this until or plans were put together.
